(I apologize for the crap-tastic pictures in advance)
Hey Ladies! Today I come to you with a Christmas/Holiday inspired manicure.. It’s super girly and glittery-my favorite!
Nail art is definitely not my thing. I enjoy it and all, but I just don’t have the time for it. I freehanded all of this and did it the quick way, but if you’re more of a perfectionist than I am, you can use a toothpick to make the wreath as well as tape off your tips to make the “French” effect. I even thought about getting a toothpick and adding a bow to the wreath, as well as using the glitter to make more ornaments. I obviously did not. You can though!
I did these wreaths on my nails a few years ago and I got so many compliments! I figured I’d do them again this year, but with a different twist! I believe I did wreaths on each nail and the tips were red the last time I did this.
What you will need:
-Base Coat (I use Beauty Secret’s Base Coat, the Pink one. It can be found at Sally’s)
-White Polish (I used China Glaze’s White on White)
-Red Polish (I used China Glaze’s Salsa)
-Forest Green Polish (I used Sinful Colors’ San Francisco)
-Optional Glitter Polish (I used China Glaze’s I’m Not Lion)
- The first thing you’re going to want to do is your nail maintenance (By that I mean trimming cuticles, filing, whatever you normally do) and then add a base coat. After your base coat has dried, go ahead and paint all but your accent nail white!

Worry about your mistakes later-after it’s all dry!
- Next, you’re going to make the wreath on your accent nail. To do this, all I did was use the nail polish brush and dotted a circle where I wanted the wreath. Give the green a little time to dry, and then go ahead and add the red “ornaments”. I always do only 4, but if you use a toothpick instead of the brush you can probably fit more.

- After you finish your wreath, you need to add a French tip to that accent nail!

After this, you can add your top coat and be completely done if you want! I liked it like this because it looked very Winter-ish. I went ahead and added a glitter to all of the white nails though, to make it more my style.

TA-DA! I hope y’all try this manicure, if you’re into this sort of thing. If you do, be sure to send me pictures or link me to it in the comments below!

That looks great! I'm going to have to try this.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute look! I have yet to mess with nail art... it's hard enough for me to wait for them to dry, I may be lacking in the patience department!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute! I am totally incapable of painting my own nails, but I plan to keep practicing so I can do fun stuff like this :)
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable! Pinning for later. :)
